In Progress: CC-PLUS at SCELC

Program Pilot Objectives

  • High usage of the CC-PLUS software over a short period of time to identify gaps in: 

    • features
    • support materials and documentation
    • community resources
  • Identify key needs to be addressed in a 2021-2023 IMLS grant extension (if funded)

  • Produce usable outputs for each institution involved related to their initial use case

  • Produce the beginnings of any publicly shareable support documentation

Participating Consortia: SCELC, CRKN, Ohiolink, University System of Georgia, Kentucky Virtual Library, TRAILS

Expected Pilot Timeline

  • Late December 2020:
    • Set up group email and google drive for sharing documents
    • Share project plan and initial information on viable providers for testing to participants
    • Set up meeting for early January
  • January week 1:
    • Meet with group to review the providers and details needed for use of CC-PLUS
    • Agree on shared documentation and policies for updating
    • Training for participants on what details to gather and how to check feeds
    • Review the template used for bulk upload of providers and institutions
  • January weeks 2 and 3:
    • CC-PLUS tech team finishes software release
    • CC-PLUS tech team meets with any group wanting to host locally to come up with plan for staying in sync
    • CC-PLUS tech team sets up hosts for those who are not doing a local install
    • Participants write their use case and basic plan for their project with goal
  • January week 4:
    • Training on the use of CC-PLUS
  • February weeks 1-4:
    • Participants carry out their research plan
    • Weekly meetings to review questions/frustrations, share knowledge and experience, discuss overall project goals
    • Possible: weekly written review or survey by each participant?
    • Project manager will track progress and potentially develop documentation for future use by community
  • March weeks 1 and 2:
    • Continue with work as outlined in February plan
  • March week 3:
    • Finish up research projects
    • Meet to review overall experience:
      • What have we learned
      • What is a priority for future projects
      • Do we need to formally produce or share any deliverables?
